Ewan McGregor Tattoo
Ewan McGregor is a Scottish actor who has had success in mainstream, indie and art house films. His first professional role was in 1993, when he won a leading role in the Channel 4 series Lipstick on Your Collar. He is best known for his roles as heroin addict Mark Renton in the drama Trainspotting, the young Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Star Wars prequel trilogy, poet Christian in the musical film Moulin Rouge!, and Dr. Alfred Jones in the romantic comedy-drama Salmon Fishing in the Yemen. He received Golden Globe nominations for Best Actor – Musical or Comedy for both Moulin Rouge! and Salmon Fishing in the Yemen. Ewan was born in Perth, Pertshire, Scotland, UK in March 1971 to Carol Diane (Lawson) and Jamers Charles McGregor who were both teachers. His uncle is also a quite known actor, named Dennis Lawson. At age 16 he left Morrison Academy in his hometown, Crieff where he was raised, to do what he loved to do. He joined the Perth Repertory Theatre.
It was no hard decision for the actor, his parents even encouraged him to leave Morrison Academy to join the Theatre. His parents wanted him to be happy and he was definitely not happy at the Academy. That’s why his parents trusted him when he told them he wanted to pursue his acting goals. Ewan studied drama for a year and then enrolled at London’s guidhall School of Music and Drama, to start a three-year course. A top notch school, he studied alongside celebrities like Daniel Craig, who we all know as 007, and Alistair McGowan. Right before his graduation, he even snagged the role of Private Mick Hopper in Dennis Potter’s Channel 4 series Lipstick on your Collar, what became a huge success.
The most critically acclaimed actor of his generation, is also known from Black Hawk Down, Trainspotting, Beginners, Jack The Giant Killer, and The Impossible.
Family
McGregor is married to Eve Mavrakis. She’s a french production designer whom he met while working on Kavanagh QC, a television series made in 1995. They also married in France, in 1995. He’s a proud father of 4 kids. We’re still waiting for Ewan McGregor tattoo to renew. Or he might get another one.
What’s clear, is that he can’t have a tattoo with only 2 of the four names. He loves his daughters so adding the names of his other daughters is an option, or getting another tattoo with the two names of his most recent daughters, what will be a little easier when you see his current tattoo. I mean, how will two more names fit there? The only way he can add names, is to extend the tattoo by placing his current tattoo within a bigger one. There’s no room for simply adding names and besides that, it will look odd.
